Most people throw away the tiny scraps of fabric that you naturally end up with when sewing. You might think a little scrap of fabric isn’t worth saving, but if you save enough of them, you can use them to make beautiful quilt blocks! Most people call this process crumb quilting.
Scrappy quilts are by far my favorite kind of quilt. I collect a lot of charm packs and mini charm packs, which means I end up with a lot of random designs in my stash. I love sewing these into simple square patchwork designs, but recently decided I wanted to do something a little more interesting.
A half square triangle or HST is one of the easiest and most versatile quilt blocks you can make. It can be rearranged into almost countless different designs to create a wide range of easy and unique quilts.
