Welcome! Crafting with Clementine is my happy place where I write about knitting, sewing, crafts, pets, and the occasional recipe or home improvement project. My goal is to give you fun project ideas and inspire you to make things.
My favorite things to make are scrappy quilt projects and hand knit sweaters. I love finding creative ways to do things that might not be your typical method. I find patterns inspiring and educational, but have a hard time sticking to them.
I’m no stranger to pattern hacking while sewing and I make up a lot of my own knitting patterns. When I blog about a pattern or technique, I try my best to explain my method so you can follow along if you want to make something the exact way I did.
I also enjoy finding ways to save money when making crafts so they’re more accessible and affordable. I love making things out of thrifted materials and upcycling things to use in my crafts and other projects. With that being said, I do love the occasional ball of hand-dyed yarn and have a hard time passing up adorable curated fat quarter bundles.

Who’s Clementine?
Clementine was a kitten when we rescued her from the woods outside my dad’s house. She was way too young to be on her own, but was also starving and suffering from an eye injury. We couldn’t help but adopt her.
Clementine now spends most her time sleeping on whatever project I’m trying to finish and “helping” me as I make things. Since she’s always there keeping me warm when I craft, she became the namesake of my blog. You’ll probably spot Clementine in a lot of my project photos or walking through the frame as I shoot craft videos!
